Asa Asuncion (popularly known as Gleesh or Yung Gleesh) was born in 1989. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and before becoming a rapper, he was a percussionist in TOB, a go-go band he co-founded. The Washington D.C. based artist has worked with Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, Yung Lean, A$AP Mob, Playboi Carti and Fat Trel among others. His name rose to larger heights through the release of several mixtapes that showcased his dark and sometimes comedic original style of street rap, as well as his footwork dance moves in A$AP Rocky’s ‘Multiply’ video.
