5 boys, 1 band who play melodic but crunchy and emotional, gothic and modern metal-based music: this is Gyöngyvér. Band: The band was formed in Dunaújváros in 2005. Their unusual, extraordinary name was originally created by the Hungarian poet János Arany, it means ’pearl brother’. The guys sing in Hungarian, while the music was influenced by Paradise Lost and HIM, they try to create some fresh and new approach. Lineup: Attila Mazán – guitars; music and lyrics Csaba Vódli – drums Erik Dózsa – vocals Viktor Erdős –bass guitar Balázs Bessenyei– guitar Concerts: During the last 3 years they performed on the Sziget and other significant summer festivals (EFOTT, Hegyalja, Rockmaraton), they played two times in the Petofi Hall on the Gothica Festival and in the Avalon Club. They appeared several times in the Hammerworld magazine and on its CD enclosure. The band had the chance to perform before Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish), Lacrimas Profundere, Sonic Syndicate and two times before Deathstars. On 27 September 2008 the band presented a monumental and very successful album release party in the Avalon with guest vocalists and chorus singers. The show was recorded, the DVD is planned to be released as the bonus material of the 3rd. album. Discography: Gyöngyvér has released 7 demos, 2 albums (Nail Records) and a maxi single. It contains a special folk-song in Gyöngyvér form. This time the guys made a happier, less lowering album in the band’s unique style which is full of energy and shining by various emotions. The music videos were shot for the songs called Jázmin kertek and Bíbor fátyol. Árnyfátyol maxi (2009): In February of 2009 the band irregularly released this online single as a preliminary material of the 3rd. album. Two songs can be downloaded from their website for free, the title track Árnyfátyol which was selected by the vote of the fans and the radio edit version of the song Baldachin.
