Mentally Crazy
There is more than one artist under this name: *1- A California based rock band *2-50 Cent *1-In the early 90's, throughout the region of Southern California known as the Inland Empire, the name The Hoodlumz stood alone in a sea of alternative music groups. The Hoodlumz formed in 1989 as a garage punk rock band. They quickly evolved to what they themselves call hoodlum rock, a natural progression from their punk rock roots. The Hoodlumz have taken the fun and energy of circa 80's Los Angeles punk rock and mixed in the strength of hard rock percussion and the splendor of progressive guitar work. The group is also known for their gang vocal strength and poetic song writing. As live performers the Hoodlumz showed they understood that the audience is there to be entertained; they always lived up to their pledge to give the people what they want - a great show. The band line up consisted of Curt Wylde - Bass/vocals , Johnny Blanco - Drums, Chris - Guitar/vocals, and Fred Wright - Rhythm Guitar/vocals. The Hoodlumz released a 7 EP titled Skin of the Soul on Delirium Records. The records shows some of the verticality of the group, from the punk sound of Cruel World to the metal edge of Mother of Pain to the more Pop rock sound of Out Alive. Shortly after recording the Skin Of The Soul EP the band parted ways. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fast forward to late 2006. The Hoodlumz, bored with the music on the radio, decided it was time to change things up a little and put the alternative back into alternative music. Still being melodic but with a solid punch, The Hoodlumz are back to have fun and to create good, solid garage rock/punk music that doesn't sound like every other band. ---------------------------------------------------------- Read more on Last.fm.
