Ice Cream Man
Despite playing together since 1996, Humble only became official in 2002, after a trip to New York. Back to Lisbon they started writing songs and playing live. Later, they met the Portuguese ska band Three and a quarter with whom they toured for some time and got some experience in the Lisbon area. In 2004 Humble recorded their fist EP: 2tone. The EP was limited to 200 copies and mixed ska-core and punk rock. It is also this year that Flip Torres, long time friend, joins the band as the second guitar player. In 2006, after a gig with the Portuguese punk rock band Tara Perdida, the band meets Miguel Gomes (Xuxa Jurassica, Sons Urbanos) and offers him a cd. Later that year, they are contacted by him and start working with Sons Urbanos Records and preparing their debut album. That year Humble played with Great bands such as the Mad Caddies, Satanic Surfers and Pennywise, in huge events like the Vans Club Tour and the Jurassic Sumer Fest. In 2007 Humble finally releases their first album GET UP recorded and produced at the Generator Studios by Miguel Gomes (Easyway, More Than a Thousand, Devil in Me) GET UP shows great evolution in the Humble sound With songs that mix ska and indie rock. The launch party was held at Music Box, in Lisbon, for a full house and marked the band's history. The album was also distributed nationwide to all the FNAC stores, where the band also played in some showcases. Humble was also sponsored by the well known companies Quiksilver and Eastpak and played in many extreme sports events. In 2007 Humble once more had the pleasure to share the stage with some more renown bands such as the Mad Caddies, in a memorable concert near the beach,as well as TAT, The Loved Ones, NOFX, and The Aggrolites. 2008 is filled with gigs all over Portugal, sharing the stage with the Mad Caddies (once again) and The Slackers, but also in Spain and France. The single getting cool hits the MTV hitlist Portugal all summer and makes it to 4th place where it manages to stay for several weeks. Finally, it is also this year that the band returns to its original formation – Angie, Tito and Nuno – who are now cooking HUMBLE's next album that promises to surprise everyone in 2009.
