Aurora (Illinois) resident Daniel Mcloyd, better known as his stage name IceJJFish is a soul singer, rapper and R&B artist best known for his unique use of pitch, experimenting outside of the common western twelve pitch scale with his vocals. His commercial breakout came with his smash hit 'On The Floor' which quickly propelled him into the limelight, gathering over 10 million views on video site Youtube in under a month. His success has been said to have been amplified by his feature on the popular video site Worldstarhiphop. Since this hit, he has collaborated and been featured with many other commercial artists such as Tyler, The Creator, most notably featuring on the Adult Swim network show 'The Loiter Squad'. He has released a series of album and singles, varying in genre and style focusing on a broad spectrum in regards to subject matter including the more recent hit 'No Topping You' and his most notable hit entitled 'Criminal Mind' which was initially hosted, featured and promoted on the popular site Datpiff. Mcloyd also has popular song covers from a wide range of pop artists dating back as far as 2011 with his first video to YouTube, which featured his cover of the 1999 hip hop song “Back That Ass Up” by Juvenile. In light of this; critics have labelled him 'The BEST in music since MJ!'. However he is not without negative reviews. One extreme opinion compared his music to 'a sick dog being punched in the throat baying at the moon' He is a fan of alternative dance which he displays on many of his music videos and is an avid vlogger. posting videos frequently on his Facebook and Twitter page.
