Live at Total War Festival
Inferno came into existence 1995 in the Czech Republic, with first demo offerings Peklo Na Zemi (1996) and Temná Poselství Dávných Předků (1997) gaining significant acclaim in the Czech scene and beyond, opening many possibilities within the Black Metal underground. Following a number of successful split releases, in the first decade of the new millennium Inferno recorded two full-length albums of defiant and warlike Black Metal - Duch slovanské síly (2001) and V návratu pohanství... (2003) – the raw and ominous Nikdy nepokřtěni (2006) and concluded this period of rabid Black Metal traditionalism with Uctívání temné zuřivosti (2008) which merged old currents into a more refined offering, aggressive yet triumphantly melodic. The release of pivotal album Black Devotion (2009) reshaped and regenerated the creative forces within the band. Inferno subsequently entered Necromorbus Studio to create the cacophonic and malevolent Omniabsence Filled By His Greatness (2013) another step-up which imbued band-members with the will to transcend their previous self-imposed limitations. In the following years, Inferno performed on prominent stages around the world, securing a reputation for being a savage and mystical live act. Dedicated to self-transformation and unconscious dialogue with the great other, the monumental and idiosyncratic Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution) (2017) helped redefine contemporary Black Metal Art. In 2021, the band’s most transcendent, most dynamic and finest work to-date Paradeigma (Phosphenes of Aphotic Eternity) was released through Debemur Morti Productions. There also are several bands with the name Inferno. 1. Inferno (UA) is a gothic metal band from Kyiv, Ukraine. 2. Inferno is a ''grind'n'roll'' band from Rome, Italy. They mix the elements of metal, hardcore and rock music with electronic sounds. 3. Inferno is a power metal band from Estonia. 4. Inferno is a black metal band from France, ex-Merrimack members. 5. Inferno is a punk band formed in 2008 in Essex. 6. Inferno was a hardcore punk band from Augsburg, Germany (~1982-1989). A Great Hardcore band from West Germany, who are probably most famous and remembered for their split LP with Japans Execute. These guys played some great melodic, fast hardcore thrash that was sung in both German and English. 7. Inferno was a punk band from Sweden. They released some material on Beat Butchers and parts of the band ended later up in Åka Bil and Tuk Tuk Rally. 8. Inferno is a thrash metal band from Heredia, Costa Rica. 9. Inferno is also a band based in India. 10. Inferno was a Dutch pop band which released one album, “The Roman Empire” and two singles, “Ave Cleopatra” and “Sexual Excesses” in the 90s, before fading back into obscurity. 11. Inferno was a progressive thrash band from Florida, USA. Their one and only album Psychic Distance was released in 1994 by Massacre Records. Read more on Last.fm.
