Talk 2 Me
Jargon, USA: Tim Gates – Guitar, Vocals Trevor Montgomery – Bass Rich Douthit – Percussion Jason Cauge – Guitar JARGON started out as a more or less noise ridden, live hard rock band, better known as, for some reason, alternative, which they don’t think that they really are, but at the time everything not usual was called alternative. In 1998 JARGON released their self-titled debut, “Jargon” (produced by Robinson Eikenberry) on Lobster Records. It wasn’t punk, it wasn’t hard-core or goth but it was moody and it rocked. JARGON, of course, thought their record was mainstream. JARGON likes to think that music can create a positive feeling in the human body and soul. Any kind of music given truly, they hope, can have this effect; can deprogram the listener so that the only awareness is of sound. After the first album JARGON moved from Santa Barbara to San Francisco, where they played often with all sorts of local luminaries. In 2002 JARGON self produced and released a new album also called “Jargon”. In 2004 JARGON played some concerts in NoCal and they remain one of the main influences of the current San Francisco sound. (taken from www.lobsterrecords.com) --- Jargon, Finland: Finnish progressive rock / jazz-rock band Jargon was a successor of another progressive jazz-rock band Finnforest. The band comprised of Pekka Tegelman, Heikki Keskinen, Pertti Pokki, Jarmo Hiekkala and Seppo Rauteva. Excluding Rauteva all of them were members of Finnforest at some point. Jargon released one self titled album in 1980. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
