Dance To The Drop
Since forming in 2006, the Southend-On-Sea six piece have built up a strong following and defined a unique and powerful sound. On the back of a series of live shows Kenai were picked up for an album deal by German label Redfield Records (USA’s Jeff Caudill, Canada’s Sights & Sounds) – www.redfield-records.de. The band are set to release their new album in early 2010. As a warm up to 2010, the band are set to release their cover of the Ne-Yo song “Closer” (the song is available as a download now). As a showcase for the elements of the Kenai sound it’s a compelling introduction to the band – taut rhythms, overlaid with driving guitars and synth and the unique and powerful vocals of Dan Lawrence. “Closer”, along with the forthcoming album, was produced by John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, Funeral for a Friend, Architects, You Me At Six, My Passion, Saving Aimee, The Blackout) The band are consummate live performers – having already played with the likes of A Day To Remember, For The Fallen Dreams, Exit Ten, Skindred, Fightstar, We Are The Ocean, Tonight Is Goodbye, All Shall Perish, Millencolin, The Bloodhound Gang, Ghost Of A Thousand, Deaf Havana, Flood Of Red and many more…. 2009 sees the band on the road to support the imminent release of “Closer” Read more on Last.fm.
