I Madman
There are at least two artists who share the name Komatose: 1) Considered by some a legend in the small genre of horrorcore, Komatose has been a slave to the darker side of music since 1998. Starting out reciting lyrics of lunacy into a karaoke machine, Komatose is now being whispered about in every dark corner and is on the lips of people who dare like something a bit darker and morbid. Komatose started his own label in 2001 with one of horrorcores most memorable duos Kryptik. With them as the corner stone, Cutthroat Productions had a myriad of acts from Maryland, New York and Nebraska. Sadly though, Cutthroat Productions closed up shop when Komatose was scooped up by 3rd Shift Entertainment in 2005. His tenure there was short as he then moved onto one of the most dangerous labels in the country, Serial Killin Records. With label mates, Sicktanick, Razakel, Stitch Mouth, Con-Crete and Razor Ruckus, the puzzle is complete. Komatose has been making butchered beats and hideous rhymes since before the turn of the century and plans to do so until father time puts a stop to the madness known as The Pumpkin King. 2) Sam Deere has always wanted to make music. Finding it hard to form a band which could support his varied musical tastes, Sam turned to electronic production as a form of musical expression. Cue his alter ego Komatose. With eclectic influences, from metal to electronica to classical, and lots in between, Komatose brings many styles to the table. The underlying mission - to make electronic music that is groovy and listenable, in opposition to soulless and unimaginative dance tracks, and above all, makes you want to move your body. Komatose's music is available for free download from www.komatose.net, a distribution method which empowers the artist and the fans. Read more on Last.fm.
