LANY


Released as the lead single on June 28, 2017, "Super Far" is a synth-pop track by the American band LANY, co-written by frontman Paul Klein and Grammy-winning songwriter Ryan Tedder. The song tells the agonizing emotional distance and the insecurity of a failed long-distance relationship. The personal lyrics of the song capture a one-sided struggle where the it is frustrated by unreciprocated affection, leading to a question whether the partner can truly love them back the way they loves her. Lani is the name of more than one artist: 1) LA alternative band 2) East Timor folk music 3) house/trance LANY is a three piece alternative band from Los Angeles, California. LANY formed in March 2014 when Paul Klein, who had a small solo career, flew to Nashville to meet up with Jake Goss and Les Priest. Previously, Goss and Priest had a separate project by the name of WRLDS, but this was discontinued after the formation of LANY. The following month they uploaded two songs, 'Hot Lights' and 'Walk Away', to SoundCloud incognito in order to differentiate between their old and new projects. Their debut EP, 'Acronymns' followed later that year, with song 'ILYSB' generating significant traffic online. Singles 'Made In Hollywood' and 'Bad, Bad, Bad' soon followed, along with the reveal of their identities. Read more on Last.fm.
