LaPingra is a project born on January 2007 when Angela Tomassone and Paolo Testa decided to merge their musical stuff in a non man's land hanging between electronic, pop, low-fi music and childhood. They managed immediately in the hard task to join the cold and electronic computer sounds, the imperfect fascination of toys with the warmth of piano and acoustic instruments. Their live set is characterized by the inappropriate use of the instrumentation and of the song-like structure to create mad and unpredictable musical architectures. They are now promoting their first EP, produced by Plastic Sun and designed by UmiDelMare. Then, the lake people looked at the magnificent feathered taking off and, pointing at it, exclaimed LAPINGRA! LAPINGRA! *** LaPingra è un progetto che nasce nel gennaio 2007 quando Angela Tomassone e Paolo Testa decidono di fondere la propria materia musicale in una “no man’s land” sospesa tra elettronica, pop, infantilismo e musica low-fi. Riescono sin da subito nel difficile compito di unire i ritmi freddi ed elettronici del computer, il fascino impreciso dei giocattoli ed il calore del piano e degli strumenti acustici. Il loro live set è caratterizzato dall’uso improprio della strumentazione e della forma-canzone nel creare architetture musicali folli ed imprevedibili. Promuovono in questi giorni il loro primo E.P. prodotto da Plastic Sun e disegnato da UmiDelMare.
