Upstate New York drone artist LATTICE formed in March, 2009. Using piano, guitar, instrument samples, synths, electronics, field recordings, bass, voice and other source materials, the music of LATTICE combines drone with the deconstruction of traditional compositional devices. Their music can be melodic and formal, yet is still abstract and generative. Influences include Brian Eno, Stars of The Lid, Eluvium, Celer, William Basinski, Chubby Wolf, Ed Carlsen, Goldmund, Le Berger, Distant Fires Burning and Ex Confusion. 88 was released on August 30, 2016 Singularity was released on April 21, 2015 Quiet Light was released on July 16, 2013. Self Inside was released on July 19, 2011. Of Luminous Things... was released on May 20, 2011. Found Music (EP) was released on January 1, 2011. NORTH RD was released on October 1, 2010. Songs in the Key of Glass was completed on October 21, 2009. After a nearly 10 year hiatus, LATTICE is currently working on completing several new releases. Look for at least one new release in the Summer of 2025.
