“Lottery” is a song by rapper Latto and singer LU LALA. In the song, the artists use the odds of winning the titular gambling activity as an analogy to describe someone being able to have her. It is her first release of 2023, and finds her reuniting with producer Dr. Luke, who provides an airy, upbeat pop instrumental with similarities to Doja Cat’s 2019 hit “Say So,” which he also produced. Latto (Born Alyssa Michelle Stephens) was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Atlanta. The artist first found fame as a 16-year-old when she competed and won season one of Lifetime's reality show 'The Rap Game', though she turned down the grand prize -- a record deal with Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Records. Her first single, 2020's Bitch From da Souf, reached No. 95 on the Hot 100. Her debut album, 'Queen of Da Souf,' reached No. 44 on the Billboard 200. She has since collaborated with Cardi B on Put It On Da Floor Again, which reached No. 13 on the Hot 100 in June 2023, and Megan Thee Stallion on Budget, which reached No. 87 in August 2022.
