Libianca Kenzonkinboum Fonji, professionally known as Libianca, is a talented Cameroonian singer, composer, and music producer. Born in 2001, she has gained recognition for her exceptional vocal abilities, captivating compositions, and proficiency as a mixing engineer. Libianca's passion for music was ignited during her childhood in Cameroon. She was deeply inspired by her first babysitter, who would sing while performing household tasks. This early exposure to musical sounds sparked her desire to evoke similar emotions through her own singing. As she grew older, she delved into songwriting, crafting her first compositions around 10 and 11. Her relocation to the United States provided further opportunities for her musical growth. Engaging in school choirs and other musical activities, she nurtured her vocal talents and expanded her musical horizons. Signing a local record deal at around 15 or 16 years old marked a pivotal moment in Libianca's journey. This experience exposed her to the technical aspects of music production, including engineering and recording. Over time, she honed her skills, positioning herself as an artist who could shape her music from inception to completion. Libianca's artistic prowess came to the forefront during her appearance on the 21st season of The Voice. Her rendition of SZA's Good Days captured the attention of acclaimed coach Blake Shelton, leading to a year of mentorship. This platform paved the way for Libianca to experiment with her style, showcased by her notable cover performances of popular tracks such as Billie Eilish's Everything I Wanted and Doja Cat's Woman. On December 5, 2022, Libianca unveiled her debut solo single titled People. The song delves into themes of heartbreak, sorrow, and loneliness, drawing inspiration from her own experiences. Although Libianca spent much of her upbringing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she maintains a strong connection to her cultural heritage in Bamenda, Cameroon, where she lived from ages 4 to 13.
