Born and Raised in Canada, Marko Filipovic or better known as Makornik found his way to the underground techno scene through an array of life changing experiences, both positive and negative. He moved to Tunisia in his early teens where he discovered a different culture and became interested in exploiting the electronic scene in a changing environment. At the time, electronic music was on the demand and rising in popularity in Tunisia, anything going from House to Deep Minimal Tech-house. However his tastes never seemed to be satisfied until he moved Paris late 2015 where he experienced his first Rave and knew that this was the music for him. This was the starting point in Makornik's career. Later that year, after multiple months of creating tracks, he came out with a few, notably his notorious Caw Caw track that made a name for him in the techno scene. 1 year after he moved to Paris, he started helping his friend to start up a new label called Wrongnotes, where he quickly became the co-owner and released several tracks on it including an entire EP. His music is supported by a lot of artists such as Rebekah, Codex Empire, KRTM and more lesser known ones. He is influenced by various artists from all kinds of electronic music, from Raw to industrial to rave to hardtechno. He also has a dark love for experimental, ambient and power electronics but hasn't found his signature sound in that genre yet.
