Maskinen (The Machine) is a Swedish music group consisting of Frej (from Slagsmålsklubben, Offerprästers Orkester and Far & Son) and Herbert Afasi Munkhammar (from Afasi & Filthy) and Ansiktet. The group was active between 2007 and 2015. In 2024, after 9 years of silence, the duo released a single called Maskinen är tillbaka announcing their return. Mats Norman (from duo Lilla Sällskapet) is the groups DJ/producer. Oskar Kihlen Linnros, formerly a member of the band Snook, was a member of Maskinen but left after the release of the single Segertåget in 2008. Their style of Hip-Hop could be describes as electro/hip-hop with influences from baile funk. Their old logo was an upside-down verion of the Wu-Tang Clan logo and has since been changed twice, first into a swan and later into a winged swan skull. Read more on Last.fm.
