One of the essential bands ot the german cosmic underground culture. There are so many musical facettes and references within this music. Noisy dreamy post indie or indie post rock? There are bent guitars by Tonia Reeh and expressive boosted basses from Marcel Türkowsky, sweet melodies, tricky and straight-forward song structures, there is noise and, well, even more noise, and sometimes even all of this at the same time. Masonne are changing from an almost post-modern math rock-like sound into a classical 90s indie-vibe within a blink of an eye. The liveshows are tensed, emotional, humoresque and still precise. Due to Tonia's success with her solo project (and supposedly intern quarrels) Masonne finally split up in 2005.
