Close to the Madding Crowd




Measure, now touring as a full band, started out as a collaboration between singer/songwriter Laura DiStasi and musician David Little. The band formed officially in September 2006 in New York City. Their first EP Begin Again was released in February 2008. Before Measure, Little arranged the electronics for two songs on DiStasi's 2005 solo album Winters Never Quit. The band Measure, is a marriage of electronics and organic instruments, driven DiStasi's own lyrics and keyboard compositions. Their official website is [iofficialsite]www.measuremusic.com. Measure is also the name of a band under the label Bulbous Records with the album Pass Thru, as well as the name of a third band with an album titled Close to the Maddening Crowd, though there is no known connection between any of the three groups.
