Mirromoon are a german four piece indie rock ensemble based in Chemnitz (former Karl-Marx-Stadt 1953-1990) at the Gate of the Ore Mountains. Mirromoon formed in 1995. After an instrumental psychedelic rock period, associated to the art project 4 Elemente by Michael Goller, they have been developing their own style between alternative- and post-rock music. Their sound combines elements of melancholy ballads, branched harmonies, dodgy rhythms and occasional sonic assaults. All recordings of Mirromoon are self produced. Its members are Marcel Liebing (voc, git), Alexander Friedrich (git), Oliver Keller (bass), Sven Heymann (dr). The name mirromoon is based on a member's dream.
