There are several artists known as Monika: 1. Monika (b. Λεμονιά Χριστοδούλου, 26 May 1986 & raised in Karpenisi, Greece), is an Athens, Greece artist. At five, she started playing the piano & at ten bought her first guitar. Then later, she joined an orchestra in order to take saxophone lessons that lasted 5 years. She can also play some accordion and drums. She used to be a member of her brother's band Serpentine where she did some vocals and played the electric guitar. A year later, she moved to Athens to study in the University (Department of Mathematics) and started recording some songs in her computer. At the same time, she became a member of Relevant Box where she played the saxophone and did backing vocals. In the summer of 2005, she recorded some stuff for My Wet Calvin and in February 2006 she recorded a saxophone piece for the band MENTA. Her first single Over the Hill was released in early May 2008 and her debut album Avatar in the 19th of the same month by Archangel Music. Her debut album quickly became critically acclaimed in Greece, while still is having it's way of coming in the target area of listeners abroad Greece and becoming known. Monika toured around Greece to support the release of Avatar with most of her shows being sold-out successes. He's got his tune Thunderstruck released on Med School's New Blood 014 compilation. 4. MONIKA (모니카) born May 21, 1991 is a German-Korean soloist. She is the former leader of girl group Badkiz. She debuted with the group on March 24, 2014 and left in early 2018 to focus on her solo career. She made her solo debut on May 19th, 2016 with the digital single Goodbye. 5.
