Headcult
There are several artists that go by the name of Morrigan. 1. A German two-man black metal band, formed by ex-members of Mayhemic Truth. From 1992 to 1997, Beliar (guitar/vocals) and Balor (drums) performed together in the German-based black metal band Mayhemic Truth. In 1997 they split up. However, in 2000 they got back together and formed the viking/black metal band Morrigan. Their first full-length CD, Plague, Waste And Death, was released by Barbarian Wrath in May 2001. That same year they headlined the Under the Black Sun festival and played some more gigs including the Drakkar Hellfest. In 2002 they released their second full-length, Enter The Sea Of Flames, also on Barbarian Wrath. That same year the limited edition vinyl version of the Plague, Waste And Death album was released by Miriquidi Productions. In late 2002 Baldur entered the band as a second guitarist and they began working on material for their third full-length. In May 2003 Morrigan broke with their label, Barbarian Wrath, and decided to run their own label, Horns Of Cernunos Productions. Baldur left the band in September 2003. Their third full-length, Celts, was released in December 2003 on Horns of Cernunos Productions. In 2004 they released a split with the Greece-based black metal band Nocternity, entitled A Celtic / Hellenic Alliance. In July 2005 they released their fourth full-length, entitled Headcult, on Undercover Records. Welcome To Samhain, their fifth full-length, was released on Undercover Records in May 2006. 2. A Japanese solo artist who works with the WAVE doujin circle. Mainly produces touhou arrangements. 3. A German (Fulda, Hesse) melodic power metal band formed in 1997, now split-up. 4. A vocal trio from Seattle specializing in nautical songs. 5. An alternative grunge band from Mexico. 6. A hardcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 7. A Japanese visual kei band. Alternate tag: MORRIGAN 8. A pop rock/blues rock band from Chile. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
