Sad Boy Summer
Faded jeans, lightness, warm guitar sounds and a sense of new beginnings. MYLE brings his own energetic vibe with his music: catchy hooks, wanderlust, and a unique sense of closeness. I’ve always been addicted to pop. Being on stage, being heard, and getting people to sing along … I’m just starting to do exactly what I’ve always wanted. Born on August 4, 2000 in Ravensburg, MYLE began playing piano at the age of seven and picked up the guitar at 14. He started writing his own songs and gained live experience early on in various bands – including performing as the lead singer of Tuesday Night Project at the Southside Festival 2017 at just 16. As a German-American, MYLE spent his summers with his grandparents in New York, where an old jukebox in their living room immersed him in folk, American rock, blues, and jazz. At the same time, he discovered modern pop through artists like Katy Perry and Bruno Mars: That’s still the music that sticks in my head the most. After graduating from school, he moved to Mannheim to study music production and started crafting hook-filled songs in his small home studio. At the end of 2020, he released his debut single “Late Night High,” followed by more tracks that defined his distinctive sound – including “Not Ready” and “Mutual,” which both reached the Top 50 of the German airplay charts in 2022. “Mutual” even hit No. 1 on the German iTunes charts. 2022 was also the year MYLE performed his own songs live for the first time – as a support act for Alvaro Soler, Wincent Weiss, and Justin Jesso. After his first headline appearance at the Summersounds Festival, TV performances followed, such as ARD Morgenmagazin and Deluxe Music, as well as festival highlights like SWR3 New Pop Festival and Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. This chapter culminated in the release of his first EP “Sad Boy Summer” and a sold-out show at Karlstorbahnhof Heidelberg. With his fan community, the SMYLERS, growing steadily, his reach continues to expand. Fan pages, merchandise, and live performances ensure that songs like “Following You” and “Hold Me” are sung back word for word. The Everyone I Love Is Here Tour in fall 2024 marked a milestone: 12 concerts across Germany, nearly 4,000 enthusiastic attendees, and a unique atmosphere that ranged from intimate club shows to sold-out venues. In 2024, MYLE also toured as support for James Blunt, further expanding his audience. MYLE remains active live in 2025 – not only at his own summer shows, but also as a support act for artists like Michael Schulte, Samu Haber, and Sophia. He also continues to host the program UPDATE DELUXE on Deluxe Music, where he provides authentic insights into the world of music. In addition to his musical career, MYLE made his acting debut in 2025: he appears as the character “Timo” in the ZDF Neo series “Tschappel.” With his unique blend of emotional lyrics, powerful melodies, and an unmistakable stage presence, MYLE remains one of Germany’s most exciting pop newcomers.
