Nanook is a band from Greenland that started out in 2008, and through the years Nanook has become the biggest selling band in newer Greenland music history with award winning albums and tours around the world. Though singing in Greenlandic and being based in the capital Nuuk, the band has toured several times to countries like Canada, US, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, The Faroe Islands, Finland, Taiwan and Japan. Nanook is wellknown for the band's energetic live acts. In 2017 They were nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize for their critics acclaimed albums and international activities through the years. 2. (Chris) Nanook is a DJ/Producer/Promoter from Manchester, England. He has released one album entitled In The Shadow of Leaves, which is a compilation of his work from 2000-09.
