All I Need (feat. Brad McDermott) - Single
Ross Harrington from Rainford, better known as his music alter ego Navos, has been signed by Island Records after releasing what’s fast-becoming the breakout dance anthem of 2021. The former Rainford High student was happily studying to become a sports therapist at Edge Hill University when lockdown hit. The music lover has been making music since aged three, when he started playing guitar. He later played music in Rainford High, but it really kicked off when he went to an Avicii show aged 14 in Manchester, and released two tracks ‘Foolin’ Me’ and ‘Outta Love’ last year before deciding to take the plunge and focus on music. Ross, who until recently was working part-time in Dunelm in Southport, took inspiration from Sonny Fodera and MK to create his own sound. He took advantage of the spare time in lockdown and produced and released Believe Me, a track made in his bedroom, which got to Number 3 in the Apple Music Dance Charts, and that's when producers came knocking. Within three weeks of its release it became an instant hit with more than 300 national and regional radio plays. The 21-year-old, whose stage name comes from his potential career choice of the navy and the OS from the ending of Ross, said: “It's crazy really that this happened, if it hadn’t been for lockdown I wouldn’t have had time to devote to music but because I was locked in the house I used my time well and did what I always wanted to do but didn't really have time to do. “It’s a huge positive to come out of lockdown, I'm doing what I've always wanted to do and now I'm 100 per cent focused on the music. Getting contacted by major labels was just like wow and it's been exciting going down to London to record. Read more on Last.fm.
