There are at least seven artists with the name Nectar: 1) An Amsterdam (NL) based singer-songwriter duo (Arthur & Wouter) singing in both Dutch and English, combining inventive lyrics with excellent skills on guitar and harmonica. Their cd Maaltijd was recorded in 2008 and will be released early 2009. 2) Grupo Néctar was a cumbia peruana/cumbia andina style band that formed in Buenos Aires in 1994. 3) A Brisbane (AUS) based melodic punk band who write short, fast, melodic punk rock the way it should be. 4) Defunct progressive/psychodelic group who released the album A tab in the ocean in the early 1970s. 5) A Brazilian RAP group also known as Nectar Gang. 6) A Perth (AUS) based Psych / Indie Soul four piece consisting of Judah Pilcher - Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar Jack Arnett - Lead Guitar / Saxophone Jac Donnelly - Percussion / Backing Vocals Matt Smith - Bass Guitar 7) An indie punk group from Champaign, Illinois.
