Niyaz

This track is a remix of a well known folkloric song of southern Khorasan in Iran. It is performed by many Persian singers such as Sima Bina. Its original name is "Bia berim dasht" (in Persian: بیا بریم دشت). The vocal is performed in the local dialect of southern Khorasan. The lyrics is about a hunter who goes hunting with his child and they go to many places such as plains, mountains and ... and they encounter different animals living in these places. نیاز (Niyaz) is a musical trio based in Los Angeles, CA, USA. The group was created in 2005 by DJ, programmer/producer and remixer Carmen Rizzo, Iranian vocalist and hammered dulcimer player Azam Ali, formerly of the group Vas, and Loga Ramin Torkian of the Iranian crossover group Axiom of Choice. Niyaz is a Persian and Urdu word meaning yearning. Niyaz's music, described as mystical music with a modern edge, is primarily a blend of Sufi mysticism and electronica.
