Emerging from the gray skies and emerald pines of The Pacific Northwest comes Oldominion. The next phase of groundbreaking music from the cities of Seattle and Portland, Oregon. These are the pioneers of what will inevitably be recognized in hip-hop circles as The Northwest Sound. With musical influences running the gamut from Nirvana, Axelrod, and The Doors, to Pharoahe Monch and Company Flow. This sovereign artistic collective has been creating unique hip-hop songs that are both innovative and accessible, without ever having to go outside their crew for production, vocal talent or artwork. This is a plug & play quality hip-hop assembly line. The Oldominion Family consists of over 20 emcees, artists and producers, including, Akil, Anaxagorus, Azrael, Barfly, Bishop I, Candidt, Coley Cole, Destro, Gash, Hyena, IamE, JFK, Karim, Mako, Mr. Hill, Nyqwil, Onry Ozzborn, Pale Soul, Peegee 13, Sleep, Smoke, Snafu, Syndel, Toni Hill, Tremor, XP and Zebulon Dak Oldominion's 13 song debut album, titled One was released in 2001 and has led to a lot of raised eyebrows since. Sharing the stage with such notable acts as the Wu-Tang Clan, The Beatnuts, Eminem, Mos Def, Dilated Peoples, Jurassic 5, Kool Keith, Snoop Dogg, XZibit, Cali Agents, Hieroglyphics, The Roots, Mystik Journeymen, and Tha Alkaholiks, this group has excited crowds throughout The Pacific Northwest and around The U.S. and Canada.
