Future Uncertain



Phobium is Henning Helland Ottesen, a psychedelic trance and downtempo producer hailing from Norway. He began making electronic music at age 13 and has moved through many different genres over the years. After making numerous compilation appearances on labels such as Stoneage, Golden Dawn, Hypnotica, Peak, and Kagdila, Phobium released his debut full-length album Future Uncertain on Wirikuta Recordings in 2007. Since then, Henning has enjoyed the success of his independently released Live In Gothenburg set which has been downloaded more than 20,000 times. Phobium’s psytrance releases are not exactly dark, but there is often an intensity to his music that is particularly well-suited for the depths of night. Hints of both old school Goa trance and forest music can be heard in some of his songs. Not one for being pinned down to a single style, Henning also produces several other types of electronic music. Currently he is at work on a breakcore project with a friend and is increasingly focused on the enchanting downtempo sounds of his Phobosphere project. Read more on Last.fm.
