AKA Plamo Million Sellers (プラモミリオンセラーズ), now goes by Ventla) Named after the Japanese term for the hobby of modeling stuff out of plastic, Plamo is the gleeful, whimsical home recording project of professional clay modeler Shuji Suzuki. Beginning in 1995, Suzuki started working on a series of skittery, sparkly indie pop tunes that drew from the jaunty, carefree music found on early Nintendo games of the 8-bit variety (something that would eventually find the artist contributing to the soundtrack for the Sega Dreamcast game Roomania 203) and nodded to like-minded peers such as Lullatone, Takako Minekawa, and I Am Robot and Proud. His first full-length album, Full Scratched, emerged three years later, and was followed by numerous appearances on 8-bit-oriented compilation discs. A second album, Needs Work, followed in 2005, and plans were in the works for a split 7' and an appearance on an Audio Dregs compilation album two years later.
