Claudio Proto, (2003) better known by his stage name Proto, is an italian rapper, producer and songwriter. Born and raised in Ceccano, Italy he is part of the italian underground hip-hop group Saz Recordz. Proto's music incorporates elements of hip-hop , trap, jerk and shoegaze . He has also been associated with the underground music scene. Proto rose to prominence after working with close producer and friend Nnolu. Proto's debut single as a solo artist Con il vento (feat. 10k Watt) was released on March 7, 2025. His second single as a solo artist, Metto la quinta, was released on April 18, 2025. In May 2025, Proto released his single Zoom and later In July, released his single Ancora un po'. His newest single Lazy Town released independently serving as the lead singles for his upcoming solo debut mixtape UPGRADE.
