Quok is the electronic project of Vladimir Sorokin, a producer, vocalist, and songwriter from Prague, Czech Republic. Born in Russia in 2000, he started uploading music to SoundCloud in 2013 and has since released several albums and EPs. The Quok alias has since gone on hiatus, with the last release being a remix of Mujuice's track Die Young! in 2019. Most of his releases nowadays are on his rap project, Куок, but he's still working on another album as Quok. In a Telegram post on December 23, 2022, another Quok album is expected to be released in 2023 but is subject to change. As Quok, he's had support from prominent figureheads of electronic music from both Russia and abroad, such as Mujuice, Culprate, Aether, Porter Robinson, and DotCrawL (a collaborative project between Thys from Noisia and YoVinyl) and releases on labels such as spirited. (a label with releases by well-known artists such as Virtual Riot, Diamond Eyes, and Holly), Upscale, and Night Owl Collective (his song Atariwave, is one of the label’s most popular releases). While his early work is mostly Future Garage and piano/ambient music, Quok doesn't stick to one genre for long, leading to a wide spectrum of music in his discography. Other genres he’s made include but are not limited to Future Bass, Dubstep, and House. Read more on Last.fm.
