There are at least fiver different groups/musicians with the name Rapid: 1) Australian Indie/Alternative band 2)British grime artist & producer 3) Bulgarian rap/hip-hop artist 4) German ska band 5) Finnish speed metal band 1) Since bursting into the Boorloo/Perth music scene in mid-2022, RAPID has quickly made a name for themselves as one of the city's most passionate and innovative rock bands. They are a dynamic 4-piece group dedicated to delivering electrifying live performances with their unique blend of psychedelic rock and high-octane energy. Inspired by iconic acts like Fuzz, Meat Bodies, Ty Segall, Stonefield, and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, RAPID crafts music that combines heavy, fast-paced riffs with intricate drum patterns and powerful vocals. RAPID's lineup features Fynn on lead guitar, Camden on lead guitar, Omri on drums, and Jac handling vocals and bass. Each member brings their own flair and expertise, creating a sound that’s both fresh and familiar to rock enthusiasts. With their energetic live sets and a passion for pushing the boundaries of psych rock, RAPID is making waves in the Boorloo/Perth music scene. Whether you're a fan of classic psych rock or exploring new sounds, RAPID performances promise to be a memorable experience. 2) Rapid is a British Grime Artist & producer, who is known for his work within the group “Ruff Sqwad”. Born in 1985, Rapid always had a love for the arts from a very young age. Rapid took his first steps towards a career in entertainment, & at the tender age of 10 began to consider his career in music production, taking inspiration from music genre’s Jungle, Garage & Drum N Bass. At the age of 13, Rapid began to adopt a unique style of writing, fusing rap lyrics over garage instrumentals, taking much influence from UK Garage Collective’s So Solid Crew & Pay As You Go. His enthusiasm took him to begin demonstrating his talent at school, & with friends from his local area. It was at this stage, that Rapid decided to pursue a career in music & at the age of 15, co- founded the critically acclaimed Garage/Grime Collective ‘Ruff Sqwad’ along with crew members Slix & Tinchy Stryder. Rapid then went on to produce classic Ruff Sqwad hits ‘Tings In Boots’ & ‘Underground’, and executive produced both “Guns & Roses Vol.1 & 2”, selling over 20,000 units on the underground circuit. This led to his works being signed by Major Labels ‘Universal’ & ‘679 recording’s respectively. His quality of production subsequently skyrocketed his rise in reputation & profile which has since led to him working with artist’s Kano, Duurty Goodz & producing the Underground smash “Top 3 Selected” for Ghetto. Other massive production credits include “Xtra”, “I’m from a place where” (Ruff Squad) & “Who Am I” (Seb Zero). At present Rapid is involved with several new projects, having four productions included on Tinchy Stryder’s recent release “Star In the Hood” album and is currently working with Mobo Award Winning & Platinum Selling artist Asher D, formerly of So Solid Crew. Rapid is also putting the finishing touches to his new album, which is scheduled for a summer 2008 release. 3) Rapid is also a Bulgarian rap/hip-hop artist, previously known as Rapidspeak. He is working on his début album called Като за себе си. Working with artists such as: bate_pe60, Denyo, Sensei , MD Manassey and more. This band was founded in 2012 as a spin-off project of the quite famous German ska band beNUTS. They are playing a mixture of ska, rock and latin with a slice of rock'n'roll, jazz, polka and metal and they released its debut CD This is Rapid in 2013.
