1) A commercially successful girl group formed in the first season of the Brazilian reality show Popstars, broadcast by SBT, in 2002. They disbanded in December of 2005. In four years of career, they achieved four Gold, three Platinum and one Diamond album in Brazil and released various hit singles, becoming the most successful Brazilian girl group of all time. As of August 2010, Rouge had sold approximately 6 million records. After the departure of Andrade, the four remaining members continued and released the albums Blá Blá Blá (2004) and Mil e Uma Noites (2005). The group disbanded in June 2006, when the contract with Sony Music was not renewed. On September 12, 2017, they reformed for a second time, this time as a five-members, to celebrate a fifteen-year birthday, embarked on a tour of sold-out shows all over Brazil, the 15 Anos Tour. In followed, he released his first unreleased song since 2005, Bailando. And, on February 1, 2019 the fifth studio album, Les 5inq, was released. On January 24, 2019, a new hiatus was announced for an indefinite time. It is unknown if Rouge will reunite after this new hiatus. 2) Rouge was a British-Asian girl group formed in the mid-2000s, known for blending Western pop and R&B with South Asian musical influences. The trio consisted of: Amrita Hunjan: A British-Indian model and singer, Amrita won Miss India UK 2004 and Miss India Worldwide 2005. She studied dentistry at Birmingham University and had a background in classical music, including piano and choir participation. Legha Yousuf: Coming from a musically inclined family, Legha was involved in songwriting and had a background in dance and performance. Laura Ismail: Laura joined the group while completing her A-levels and had been singing from a young age. The group was formed when Amrita, already signed to a record label, met Legha and Laura through the label's introductions. Their shared passion for music led to the formation of Rouge. They chose the name Rouge to symbolize passion and femininity, reflecting their love for music and their identity as a girl group. Rouge released their self-titled debut album in 2006 under Envy, W10, and Mona Records. The album featured singles like Don't Be Shy and Eh Papi, which showcased their fusion of pop, R&B, and South Asian sounds.
