There are different Bands using the Name 'Rousseau' 1) Rousseau was a Progressive Rock Band from Germany, founded in 1977 by R. Hofman, C. Huster, G. Huthmacher and A. Pfeffer. Their Style was very melodic with the use of acoustic guitar, mellotron, keyboards, flutes, cello and violins and had elements from Folk and Classic. Sometimes they were compared with Bands like Camel or Novalis They released 4 Albums, Flower in Asphalt (1980), Retreat (1983), Square the Circle (1987) and At the Cinema (2002) 2) Deathmetal from shawnee, Oklahoma. Includes/included former members of machinist. Due to member loss, they took a small hiatus. With a new lineup they are set to record early spring 2010.
