SK123 is a UK-based ambient, electronica and techno artist who began his musical career in the summer of 2000. Taking inspiration from releases on Ninja Tune, Rephlex and Warp records, SK123 released a large number of experimental EPs and short albums between 2002 and 2005. The following year he was able to produce two full-length albums (River Monkey and Zeolites) and two EPs, and in 2007 he released Soundwave to an appreciative online fanbase. In 2008, SK123 signed to Fruit Soup Limited where he released his most accomplished work to date; a synth-driven collection of delicately melodic binaural distortion named Skizm. Covering a range of genres as diverse as ambient, IDM, dub and traditional electronica, SK123’s capricious production style invites and rewards repeated listens, and the sheer variety of his output is matched only by his consummate ability to weave compelling electronic threads and abstract storylines through his work.
