SPARK! is a swedish EBM act, which started off as straight forward old school EBM in 2007. The band has gone through a big development in style within electronic music, where starting with their second release in 2009, they adopted more melodic and sometimes more pop-oriented sound. In 2012 their third album barely had any references to old school and anhalt EBM. In 2014 the band's vocalis left due to personal reasons, and Matthias alone created the next album, where each track featured a different vocalist from various bands in EBM and industrial scene. Shortly after the release, Christer Hermodsson (S.P.O.C.K, Biomekkanik) was recruited permanently as lead member of the band which musically took a bit of a turn while still retaining the SPARK! roots. Ever since the beginning the band has been a huge success in German underground scene, despite that the band exclusively released material in Swedish language.
