Dellé (vocals) Alfi Trowers (percussions) Based (drums) Moritz Delgado (sax) DJ Luke (DJ) - (since 2005) Jerome Tchamp Bugnon (trombone) Dubmaster Reibold (keyboard) Rudeboy Rudy (guitar) Tobsen Cordes (bass) Former members: Ear aka Boundzound aka Demba Nabé (vocals) - (1998-2018, deceased) DJ Illvibe (DJ) - (1998-2005) Seeed are famous for what they have dubbed their 'Seeed sound' which primarily features use of their 'horn' section. Some of the most notable artists they have worked with include: Cee-Lo Green, Anthony B (Waterpumpee), Tanya Stephens, Elephant Man (Shake baby shake), General Degree as well as other Jamaican artists and producers. Seeed's lyrics are German, English and Patois. Their biggest hits in the German-speaking region have been: Dickes B, Aufstehn, Ding, Stand Up, Waterpumpee and Music Monks. Their first smash hit was Dickes B: a declaration of love to Berlin. With the international versions of Music Monks and Next!, they broke through the borders to the surrounding countries, even securing themselves a set at the coveted Glastonbury Festival in 2005 (which features in the music video for their song 'Slowlife.') They have won multiple awards including 3 ECHO awards, 1 Live Krone in the category 'Best Band' twice and also seized victory at the Bundesvision Song Contest in 2006 with their song 'Ding.' To date Seeed have released 5 LPs: - New Dubby Conquerors - 2001 - Music Monks'' - 2003 - NEXT! - 2005 - SEEED - 2012 - BAM BAM - 2019 (There exist international versions of the albums Next! and Music Monks in which some songs have been translated into English.) History: Seeed formed in Berlin in 1998, originally planned to be a 'Reggae Soundsystem' they wound up as a large live band instead. Their first album 'New Dubby Conquerors' was released in 2001 to great commercial success - however, the following tour was disrupted and partly cancelled when one of their frontmen (Pierre) was diagnosed with partial paralysis of the face. Seeed would release two more albums (Music Monks in 2003 and NEXT! in 2005) and a live concert DVD before they took a break in which many of the members would focus on their own solo projects. Perhaps most notably the legendary album 'Stadtaffe' by frontman Pierre Baigorry a.k.a Peter Fox. They returned in 2012 with their self-titled album which would be their first to reach number 1 in the German charts. After this release they took another break to tour in countries other than their homeland of Germany. In 2018 news broke that one of the three frontmen, Demba Nabé, had passed away. Despite this, the band decided to continue and in 2019 released their 5th LP titled 'Bam Bam' which included many tributes to their recently lost band-member. The band has been quiet since their last release (single Hale Bopp in 2020) however, they have once again been working on solo projects. Pierre/Peter released his second solo-album 'Love Songs' in 2023, Frank Dellé has released multiple singles and other members have been working as part of the band 'Tutti Bounce.' https://root.theworkpc.com/music/preview?img=http://www.seeed.info/ Read more on Last.fm.
