1.. Sensation - First there was Soul Family Sensation with one album, on One Little Indian, guided by songwriter Jon Male and fronted by Jhelissa, who then left to front The Shamen. After her exit Jon took the microphone and the band became Sensation. They recorded the album 'Burger Habit' for One Little Indian. Full of songs that conjured up comparisons with Prefab Sprout, Pet Shop Boys, the Cure and Beautiful South, this romantic, optimistic, reflective, joyously sad and hopefully youthful album came at exactly the wrong time in 1992 when the world was in the grip of the amateur hour doom laden shabbiness of grunge and so it vanished without trace. An 'outakes and demos' album release called 'yesterday things got worse' came out in the late 1990s on a German label. However Jon Male and the nucleus of Sensation ploughed on and found another girl to front them (Saffron) and started to record under the name Republica. Republica went on to score two massive worldwide hits before calling it a day. 3. Sensation is a Slovenian (Slovenia) group and was formed in 1998. I's a mix of (punk, HC, rap, funky, rock,...) It started in 2000 in the Amsterdam Arena (with almost 38,000 people) and is now one of the most succesfull events in the world. Sensation is an event with very impressive shows and the highlight of every Sensation is the megamix. The event is not only in the Netherlands anymore. So far they've released 4 studio albums and are active as a live members to the artist.
