There are various artists named Skar: 1) Doom Metal from México, formed in 1996. Disbanded in 2017. 2) A Norwegian musician who specializes in doing covers in heavy metal style (See Skar Productions) _____________________________________________________________________ 1) Doom metal from Toluca, México. Released one album called Antifona de Entrada, in 2001. While Skar was originally a one-man band, members were added eventually until it evolved to a full band. Skar stopped playing live after they received several threats from Christian groups. They had a radio presentation and two live gigs before deciding to stop having public activity. The album Antífona de entrada was released posthumously. Skar defined themselves not as a band who is against Christ, but as a band that is against religious organisations and their hypocrisy. In January 29th, 2017, the singer and guitar player, who was the founding member, had a mental breakdown, and decided to bring Skar to an end. 2) Skar Productions has been making metal covers of video game songs since 2014, publishing them to YouTube and other streaming platforms.
