Slitheryn
Slitheryn was formed in the summer of 2000 by brothers Tommy T-bone(drums, 14) and Frankie Burke (vocals, 12), their cousin Anthony Ant Burke(guitar, 15), and their friends Mike Lang(guitar, 15) and Ryan Beltz (bass, 16). This next generation of metalheads is following in the path of their heroes Helmet, Filter, Deftones, Slipknot, and Mudvayne and writing attitude driven heavy rock with melody. The difference with these teens is they are not doing it in front of their mirrors with tennis rackets, and they are not boy band wanna-bes, they are playing their instruments and writing songs as well as any of the industry-hardened heavy rock acts and being accepted by those acts as their equals. In September of 2001, Slitheryn released their first 5 song CD. In tandem with its release, Slitheryn has quickly gained momentum fueled by several Chicago in store performances, a Fox News Chicago television performance, and numerous industry showcases such as Chicago's MOBfest, Boston's NEMO, and Indianapolis' Midwest Music Conference. They've also become regulars at some of Chicago's hottest night spots like the Metro, and are a top seller at Chicagoland record stores. In November of 2001, with the help of Skateboard Marketing, Slitheryn began an 8 week raido blitz. Slitheryn is on the verge of becoming the younger brother of rock's next big thing. Not bad for a bunch of kids, eh? Tommy Burke - Drums / Frankie Burke - Vocals / Anthony Burke - Guitar / Mike Lang - Guitar / Ryan Beltz - Bass Read more on Last.fm.
