Svefn is the experimental ambient project of Manchester's Lee Chapman. Blending ethereal soundscapes with heavy noise sections, Svefn is reminiscent of an abrasive Sigur Ros - a musical project as creative as it is underrated. Recent successes include the track 'Lightness' included on the first 'Phantom Channel' (a Glaswegian netlabel) compilation. It features artists such as Engine7, El Heath, Brakhage and Parherlion. The free 'Lightness' EP is available from www.svefn.co.uk. Visit www.myspace.com/svefn for more details. Read more on Last.fm.
