Tatu18 is a melodic punk band from Tata, Hungary. The band formed in 2001 and had 4 members: Ombodi Károly (singer), Mester Balázs (guitar), Ollé Sándor (bass) with Makovics Ákos on drums. Sanyi left the band early, but after the first year Belső Máté (trumpet) joined the band. Lots of people thought that they're a Ska band because the trumpet, but ska is far from their music. Suddenly lots of local people got interested in their music. They had a few tour at that time with Fürgerókalábak, and they song 'Nem az a világ' got into the hungarian version of Warcraft III - Frozen Throne as one of the game's music. At 2004 Máté left the band, but in december Sz. Ád(d)ám joined. Than something went wrong. The band went on a hiatus. They started playing at 2006-2007? but Ádám left the band. They changed a bit because they've lost the trumpet. Now they touring with Prosectura, but sometimes they make some concerts in Tata too : ) (About the name: Long ago the members was rpg players, and their favorite character was Tatu (no connection with the band t.a.T.u.) the god of cheap wines and commers drinks.
