There are at least 2 bands with the name Truxton 1. Alias of a Canadian electronic artist Emma Essex 2. Indie rock band from USA: 1. Truxton is an alias of Emma Essex, focusing on creating music through mashing up already existing songs together to create something entirely new. Original content is hardly present in Truxton's songs, or if there is, is most like very little. Truxton is an agender hellhound, originating on Second Life, and is the second alias of Emma that is based on a pre-fabricated species (see: Aurastys). 2. Truxton was originally HANSI ARMENTRTOUT playing solo after leaving San Diego and emo band LUMBER. He moved from San Diego to Humboldt County and started a band called 'SATURNINE RESISTOR' but eventually was introduced to ELIOTT SMITH and decided to quit the whole band structure. He moved to Oakland and started playing solo acoustic around the bay area. He eventually recruited his buddies Francis Choung and Lucas White (Francis played/plays in FROM MONUMENTS TO MASSES and Lucas played in THE LIBRARIANS). They played around the bay and the USA for years until Francis quit to be replaced by Chris Loutz from LOQUAT. He eventually had to quit and was replaced by Bill Mowrey of Castles in Spain and the Bruises. Jeremy Hainline of Charmless joined the band on lead guitar which changed the sound considerably. Lucas White eventually left the band to be replaced by Ian Miller (Skankin' Pickle, Redemption 87, Kowloon Walled City, etc. etc.) on bass. The band now brings the rock ala Queens of the Stone Age and the emotion ala Sunny Day Real Estate. Note: Christopher Lautz is now back in the band having left his other band LOQUAT.
