"A secret melody" consists of a single guitar chord passed through delay and reverb. The effect of depth is not physical but psychological. Putting forward the very sound of a boy who tries to get out of the water , the ear is forced to look behind the noise. The consciousness of the listener is captivated paradoxically because the uncertainty of the melody heard, blurred by noise, requires some vigilance, whereas the base simple and repetitive noise is soothing. French musician (real name Hery Randriambololona) with roots in Madagascar. Fond of indian raga and mysticism (of course a yoga practitioner), he actually made several trips to India to collect local musical instruments. Ujjaya plays rythmic meditative music with acoustic instruments and sound effects to create heavily processed drone music.
