Vax was formed in the spring of 1999 as a trio. Organ (organ/bass-line), Guitar and Drums. Initially, Vax played English rythm & blues covers of the early Sixties, strongly influenced by the farfisa organ. In the spring 2005 Vax released their first album. It was an EP (named EP) with 4 tracks and raw sound. The second album called Oh No! was released on October 20th 2005. A new drummer, BAZ, joined the band in 2006. VAX has played at several festivals, such as Icelandic Airwaves twice, Freeze festival in Holland (Netherlands), Northen light blues festival twice and many other venues. VAX released the song Like You in USA on a record called Riot On The Sunset; Vol 3, available on the West-coast of USA and at amazon.com. The album is published by 272 Records. In the year of 2008 VAX plans to release a new album in the fall. Recordings have taken place around Iceland, so it will be interesting to hear the results. Read more on Last.fm.
