The band was considered the leading cold wave group in Poland. The first album called Variete was out in 1993, recorded with jazz musician Andrzej Przybielski. The music was a combination of new wave/ jazz and lirycs of Grzegorz Kazmierczak, poet and singer of the band. In 1994 Variete records live album Koncert Teatr Stu this time with saxophonist Mikolaj Trzaska. The next album Wieczor przy balustradzie is a band's turn to rock music.
