Radiate Me
Venues is a post-hardcore band from Stuttgart, Germany, formed in 2015. The band currently consists of vocalist Daniela 'Lela' Gruber and Robin Baumann, guitarist Valentin Hahnemann and drummer Dennis Vanhöfen. Initially founded under the name Break Down A Venue, the band released their self-titled debut EP in July 2015. In February 2017, the band announced a name change to Venues and began performing nationally, sharing the stage with bands like Walking Dead on Broadway, Unleash the Sky, and Breathe Atlantis. On July 4, 2017, the band opened for The Devil Wears Prada in when they performed in Stuttgart. In April 2018, Venues signed with Arising Empire, and their label debut album, Aspire, was released in July of that year. The album received positive attention, including being named Album of the Week by Kerrang! magazine. To promote Aspire, Venues toured extensively, performing alongside bands such as Polaris, The Amity Affliction, Caliban, Electric Callboy, Callejon, and Oceans Ate Alaska. In January 2019, vocalist Chrisi 'Nyves' Krithinidou announced his departure from the band to focus on other projects. Venues then postponed their planned tour to search for a new vocalist. In March 2019, they introduced their new vocalist on social media. By October 2019, Venues announced they were working on new material. Venues describe their music as post-hardcore, characterized by a blend of melodic vocals and harsh shouts, with Lela's clean vocals being a defining feature. Their style draws comparisons to bands like Deadlock, combining classical metal and post-hardcore elements with modern metal structures and occasional pop influences. Their sound has been likened to bands such as Evanescence, Marmozets, and Pvris. Read more on Last.fm.
