Malickosti
The members of Vetroplach started a band in 2002. Among their biggest influences are the bands of the 90´s britpop wave, e. g. Pulp, Blur, Radiohead and Manic Street Preachers. They used to be called a slovak britpop although there was no obvious connection between their music and the music of the abovementioned. It may have been caused mostly by their appearance which resembles to contemporary british bands. As the winners of the Coca- Cola Popstar competition in 2004 they got the ooportunity to record and release their first LP called Ak vas omrzeli jednofarebne sarkany'. Songs from the first album are characteristic by a mixture of inteligent lyrics and catchy melodies. But the main focus of Vetroplach as a band is to present their songs to a live audience, not only sell records. They have played live since 2002 from small university parties to 2005 main stage on Pohoda Festival, which is probably the biggest festival in Slovakia. Their live performances are full of energy so there´s no wonder they attract new fans every gig. The new album came out in autumn 2006, supported also by a tour through Slovakia with an another slovak band called Hex. The spring tour is announced on April 2007. Read more on Last.fm.
