Gallipoli 1915 e le altre storie
Post-Punk/New Wave/Goth Rock band from Alessandria (Piemonte, Italy). Came from the ashes of the post-punk band Blaue Reiter, the band starts to play like Viridanse in 1983 with this first formation: Paolo Boveri (Lead Vocals/Guitar) Flavio Gemma (Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals), Enrico Ferraris (Guitars) and Antonello Debellis (Drums/Percussions). Other members and Collaborators: Roberto Modellato (Drums until 1984), Max Pozzi (Guitar 1983), Alberto Ferraris (Piano/Synth 1986), Luca Meneghello (Guitar 1985 Tour) and Maurizio Barberis (Guitar 1986 Tour). The sound of the band is a mix of classical post-punk, psychedelic rock and other new wave influences. The voice of Paolo Boveri is often obscure and gives the definitive dark atmosphere. They were able to split with the famous italian new wave label Contempo Records with a good success in the italian underground circuit. Recently out (2012) with ‘Gallipoli 1915 e le altre storie’ (double Cd Collection - Oltrelanebbiailmare Records). DISCOGRAPHY: 1984 - ‘Viridanse/The Art of Waiting’ (Mc, split self-produced) 1984 - ‘Live Alessandria’ (Cd, Unofficial) 1984 - ‘Benvenuto Cellini’ (12” EP - Contempo Records) 1985 - ‘Mediterranea’ (LP - Contempo Records) 1987 - ‘Sanremo Rock’ (Lp, Mercury Compilation - song used: ‘Mediterranea’) 1987 - ‘Psycho Session’ (Demo-Tape self-produced) 2012 - ‘Gallipoli 1915 e le Altre Storie’ (double Cd Collection - Oltrelanebbiailmare Records) Read more on Last.fm.
