Nevin Hersh known as DJ/Producer Voxbox is a Resident DJ in the Chicago Dance Club Scene.(1,2,3,4,5) His love for music began when he first studied classical piano at age 4.(4,5) At 12 he began writing classical and modern piano.(5) His retromash is a unique electro-techno-futuristic-robot-beat mix-mashed from various music and sounds from the 1960’s to present day.(2,5) The following paragraph is quoted from his MySpace(2) Voxbox has been writing music since the late 90's for his record label Tonecard Sounds(1), as well as for radio and television commercials, and independent films. V.x/b.x is the second Voxbox album, and was written and mixed from 2005 - 2010. The 3rd track, InHuman, features 26 voices of various Humans, and was pieced together from 26 voiceover sessions. Most of the album is heavy in sound design, darker 80s and 90s influences, as well as contemporary electronica and pop.
